What do I do if my daughter is concerned about her playing time or is having a hard time understanding what her role is on her team?

We understand there is miscommunication sometimes and we want this to be a positive learning experience for all our players.

Please set up a time to meet one-on-one with your coach outside of practice or tournament day to talk with each other.  Parents are welcome to come but in the meeting with your coach, we would like the player to be the one to express her concerns.

If this doesn’t resolve the issue, we then can set up a meeting with the coach, the administration, the player, and the parents to try and resolve the issue at hand.

How committed do I have to be?

Volleyball is a team sport so it is necessary to be to every practice and tournament game. Tournaments are generally 2 Saturdays a month and practices are 2 days a week for 1.5 hours.*  Missing practices and tournaments negatively affects all the players on the team as every player is needed to be successful.  We do understand emergencies come up so please make sure and contact your coach before missing a practice or tournament.

*Travel teams require 3 days a week practice commitment with additional tournaments in-state as well as at least a 1 out-of-state tournament commitment.

What if I am going to miss or be late for a practice or tournament?

Please contact your coach directly as soon as you know.
